Meeting with Provo High School Cellists
I met with 2 groups of cellists from Provo High School. Mr. Allred is over Provo High and Timpview High. I was grateful he gave me the opportunity to meet with his students. I found them all delightful. Several were very excited to be in the concert. One boy said that he would even shave his head if I would let him be in the concert. I thought that was adorable, but let him know that it was much easier to be in it than that. lol. Several cellists from there have showed interest and I look forward to working with them.

- My name is Janice Baker. I am a cellist. I grew up as the 8th or 9 children in a wonderful family in Winslow, Arizona. When I turned 18 I went to college at SUSC(now SUU) in Cedar City, Utah and studied music. I met my husband there and we now live in Orem, Utah. I have 2 married sons and a daughter. I also have 2 adorable grandsons. I have worked as a teacher, been in management, run my own business, and my favorite, a Realtor. I worked with Boy Scouts of America for 16 years as a den leader, unit commissioner and district trainer. I have served in many leadership positions in my church and also served a church service mission with the Primary General Presidency and Board in Salt Lake City. I love music, reading, traveling, camping, hiking, boating, and spending time with my family. When I was 15 years old, I had an experience that inspired me with a dream. All these years later, I am making that dream come true!
